Fruit Picking in Young, New South Wales

Assalamualaikum to all muslims and a very good day to all.

Yesterday we spent the whole day outing. It takes about 2 and half hour to get to Young ~ the capital of Cherries Australia. We planned to go for cherry picking. It has been on our plan ever since cherry become in season ~ which began early November. We thought that the season would at least last till January..but pity us. It was already over. Cherry season is over and we were just a little late. So we changed plan and decided to go "whatever fruit left" picking instead.

See how large the cherries are. This is at Young's Info centre. So I could imagine that Young must be really filling up with cherries and their pickers during the right season. On that day, there were only us ~ 3 families (ours, k.miza n husband and abg hazman & family and his parents) and probably few others.

We had our lunch at this beautiful small park called - The Chinamans Dam. Here are some snaps there : (sorry for the close up.. self-capture)

after lunch, we went for a search for fruit picking - target was peach or plum picking.

Here are some peaches. It reminded me a lot of fruit picking with my family back in 1994-5's at UK.

Then we found another ranch ~ here strawberry picking is available. And the strawberries were delicious, sweet and red. Asyraf is pretty much enjoying the day..

We did found a stall selling some cherries. And thats how we got some cherries. Maybe next year we go in November.

Well, till then,
Wassalam..
Mira..
